Welcome

I am a geographer. I study patterns in the urban environment, particularly the relationships between people and urban trees. I use field observations, spatial analysis, GIS, social data, citizen science, and remote sensing to understand how urban environments change and what that means for urban residents.
As an Associate Professor of Geography at Ball State University, I teach courses in GIS and urban geography, and I advise students in advanced research projects relating to environmental science and geospatial technologies.
